THE VEHICLE

The brainchild of Ferdinand “Ferry” Porsche, the Porsche 356 remains today as one of the most iconic cars in the world. The 356 was a four-cylinder, air-cooled, rear-engine, rear-wheel drive car utilising unitised pan and body construction.

Out of the 76,000 different variants produced  between 1948 – 1965 (well after the introduction of the 911) very few remain on the road and this 356a coupe is an extremely rare build.

Optioned from the factory with a sunroof and bench seats, this matching number Porsche is a gem and has undergone a full nut and bolt restoration making it better than the day it left the factory!

WALK AROUND VIDEO

This concourse Porsche 356A has been beautifully captured in this video by Dan @Normalguysupercar who will make every part of you want to be the proud owner of this car!

SERVICE HISTORY

This 356A coupe was first registered on 29th May 1959 with the following Engine number 74377 and Transmission number 27917.

This highly deseriable Porsche came out of the factory with the following optional extras:

  • Chrome wheels
  • Front Bench seat
  • Split Backrest
  • Sunroof
  • Sealed Bean Headlights
  • US Bumpers

Every last part of this Porsche has been replaced or restored to its original condition including having the entire engine removed and disassembled.

The current owner of this car had one goal in mind and that was to bring this car to museum standard! Everything in this car is virtually brand new and the entire rebuild has been documented.

BODYWORK & INTERIOR

As evident from the pictures and video – every part of this 356 is immaculate without a single blemish to the paintwork.

The stunning red interior is as clean as the outside without any marks to the leather seats or to the impeccable dashboard, which is guaranteed to leave you smiling and feeling like a Hollywood movie star.

The exhaust of this 356 is integrated in to the bumper and when you start this beautiful car there is a special surprise that can be seen in the video footage (we promise it won’t disappoint!).

WHEELS

All 4 wheels of this 356 are concourse and correct to the standard of when they left the factory in chrome.

VERDICT

We would argue that this is quite possibly one of the best Porsche 356’s available globally and the level of detail that has gone in to the restoration is of the highest standard.

Historic cars like this one deserve to be preserved and enjoyed for as long as possible, this car is a Porsche enthusiasts dream and we are every bit confident it will not disappoint you every time you get behind the wheel or admire it sitting in your garage!
