THE BIKE
Often called “The son of Z1” this 1976 Kawsaki KZ900 is arguably the best one for sale at the moment anywhere in the world.
Subject to a 3 year full nut and bolt restoration, every last bit of this bike has been replaced, updated and it would be fair to say this bike is better than the day it left the factory.
If you know your bikes then the legendary KZ900 will hold a special place in your heart as it earned the title of “ best roadster in its class” from Cycle World magazine at the time.
WALK AROUND VIDEO

This bike was imported from Illinois, USA in February 2017 with all the documentation included in the sale to back this up.
From that moment the bike has had every part replaced at a cost greater than the reserve of the bike itself!
This bike has officially been registered and recognised as authentic by The Register of Old Japanese Bikes (please see the document section for this certificate).
BODYWORK & INTERIOR
Beautifully repainted in the correct colour of Metallic Kawasaki Green the original seat has also been brought back to top condition without a single crease on it.
As part of the extensive restoration process the bike has benefited from the following: Correct tank / side panels and badges, original airbox / Snorkel and hose clips, Correct carbs fully serviced / rebuilt and balanced, genuine Kawasaki Z1 Mirrors / Spokes and chrome rims, Brand new tyres, and a brand new exhaust, which has all been documented in pictures and receipts.
Every last detail has been thought of in this rebuild including the toolkit/owners handbook, which slideaway as shown in the pictures.
VERDICT
With a modest 81bhp this bike can still keep up with today’s traffic and is an outstanding piece of motorbike history, that would look great in any bike collection.
Ready to be enjoyed and relive the 70s and 80s the KZ900 will certainly turn heads and be the talk of many bike meets around the world.
The attention to detail in this restoration clearly shows that this has been a labour of love, but restored to the highest standard without cutting any corners or holding back on any expenses.
