THE VEHICLE

The Fiat 500 Jolly is a limited edition version of the classic Fiat 500, which was produced from 1958 to 1975. The Jolly features a distinctive, wicker-covered body and a canvas roof, which gives it a unique and playful appearance. This model was often used as a rental car at upscale beach resorts, and was a popular choice for wealthy Italian holidaymakers looking to enjoy the sun and the sea in style. Although the Fiat 500 Jolly is no longer in production, it remains a popular and collectible vehicle, sought after by classic car enthusiasts and fans of Italian design.

The exact number of Fiat 500 Jollys produced is not known, but it is estimated that fewer than 2,500 were made during the model’s production run. It’s difficult to determine the exact number of Fiat 500 Jolly still in existence, as the model was produced over 60 years ago and many may have been lost, destroyed, or dismantled over time.

Additionally, there is no comprehensive database that tracks the current number of surviving examples. However, it’s estimated that only a few hundred Jolly models remain today, making them quite rare and sought after by collectors.

Good condition examples of the Fiat 500 Jolly can fetch upwards of $100,000 or more at auction, with some highly sought-after models selling for significantly more. This beautiful example is a recreation of the famous Jolly, however this is arguably one of the best builds available for sale anywhere in the world. Subject to a two year full nut and bolt restoration by renowned restorers in Italy, TGQ offers this for sale exclusively at a fraction of the price of what it would have cost to achieve this build.

SERVICE HISTORY

Supplied with its original Italian paperwork this matching chassis and engine number is a rare find in todays world, which adds to making this example more desirable.

For interested parties the seller of the car is happy to share further information upon request and has plenty of documentation, pictures and receipts for the 2 year restoration project. Since being restored the car has only done a mere 60-80km and is kept in a secure stored facility when not being used.

BODYWORK & INTERIOR

Every single part of this car has been restored and replaced apart from the original Italian number plates that add some character to an outstanding example.

The body work of this 500 Jolly recreation is concourse and has no imperfections, however there is one crack to the windscreen (highlighted in the picture below), but the seller will supply a brand new windscreen along with the sale.

WHEELS

All 4 wheels are unmarked and have plenty of life left, however if being picky the white walls could do with a bit of tidying up, but this does not take away from the rest of the car in anyway.

VERDICT

To restore a Fiat 500 to this calibre will cost you a lot more than the asking price of this car (not to mention the 2 year process of doing the build).

If you are in the market for a Fiat 500 Jolly recreation that requires no mechanical work and has been subjected to the highest level of restoration, then this is the car for you.
