THE VEHICLE
The 911 993 was sold from from 1994 to 1998 and was the last of the great air-cooled 911 models that all Porsche fans admire.
Porsche made sure to include many technical improvements in comparison to its predecessor the 964, one notable difference was that for the first time in a 911 Porsche introduced a 6 speed manual gearbox that came from factory as standard.
The 911 993 Cabriolet is a rear wheel drive car that weighs around 1400kg and is capable of 0-60mph in circa 5 seconds with top speeds of 171 mph.
This example was first registered on 21st February 1997, and has remarkably low mileage of under 38,000 miles. In recent years the 993’s have become highly desirable and as time has passed the car world has appreciated how great these cars were, and continue to be with their timeless look and magnificent engines.
Finding such low mileage examples are becoming harder to find, and this one is in a factory combination of Silver with Blue leather seats that would make a great addition in anyones garage.

SERVICE HISTORY
The 993 does come with a stamped up service book (please see the document section below) and the MOT history does add up correctly in conjunction with the service book.
Between September 2015 – August 2018 there is a long gap between the MOT’s, however the car was not on the road for most of that time and had less than 400 miles usage. Amongst the paperwork there is also an invoice from Porsche Centre Guildford from 2015 where the mileage was recorded at 36,340, once again in line with the MOT dates.
From August 2018 – January 2020 where the next MOT was issued there is a delayed gap on the MOT, but again the car had less than 350 miles of usage in this period.
The most recent invoice is from July 2022 at a cost of £989.85 where the shock absorbers were replaced and the car had a 4 wheel alignment.
BODYWORK & INTERIOR
For a car that is 26 years old it does present itself very well and has no dents or visible scratches to the bodywork.
The driver seat has suffered from the usual wear to the bolster, but this is something that the new owner could rectify with an interior specialist or it can be enjoyed as it is and adds to the character of the car.
The navy interior compliments the silver very nicely and to the rear of the car the 911 993’s came with a small spoiler mounted with the third braking light (a distinctive feature of the 993).
WHEELS
All 4 wheels are unmarked and are wrapped in Michelin tyres that have plenty of tread.
VERDICT
In our opinion the 991 993 is a solid investment for any car enthusiast and especially a Porsche fan, however the one additional benefit of this example is the very low mileage, which means the new owner can enjoy plenty of miles without worrying about decreasing the value due to high miles. This example presents very well overall and is surely a timeless classic that can be enjoyed for many years to come.
